To change your password, select ‘Reset Password’ and follow the on-screen steps. If you wish to change the email address that your account is registered with, please contact our customer service team via phone on 01 514 3614 or email at cs@feelgoodcontacts.ie and they can assist you in this.
You can login to your account and visit the ‘Refer a Friend’ web page, or access ‘My Account’ and click on ‘Refer a Friend’. From here, a code will be provided to you. The code can be shared on social media or can be sent directly to your friend via a built-in website form.
By entering the code when placing an order, your friend will receive a 10% discount.

The length of time you can wear your lenses depends on the type of lenses you choose to wear and your eyes’ tolerance to them.
Typically, contact lenses are either worn and disposed of daily, or removed, cleaned and stored in solution every night for up to two weeks or a month. Some contact lenses also provide the option of continuous wear, these are called extended wear lenses that you can wear day and night for a set period of time. To find out which lenses are suited to your eyes, it is highly advisable to speak to your optician, although do remember that you can order your lenses online after you’ve been prescribed them.
Contact lenses do not necessarily cause dry eyes, but can aggravate the problem if you’re wearing some that aren’t suitable for you.
There are several contact lenses that have been specifically developed to suit the needs of dry eyes. Some of the most popular of these lenses include 1 Day Acuvue Moist, Dailies AquaComfort Plus and Dailies Total 1.
We also stock an extensive range of eye drops, which can be used to help soothe and lubricate dry eyes.
Extended wear lenses are the only lenses currently deemed suitable for wearing overnight. They have a much more permeable surface (to allow oxygen to move more freely in and out of the eye) in comparison to standard dailies and monthly lenses that should be removed at the end of the day.
You should seek advice from you optician as to whether or not extended wear lenses are suitable for you.
The type of solution you choose depends on your personal preference and the type of lenses you wear. Multi-purpose solution is great for those that want an all-in-one cleaning and storing product. If you clean and store your lenses separately, you’ll need to purchase hydrogen peroxide solution for cleaning and saline solution for rinsing.
Rigid and gas permeable lenses need a specific type of solution and cannot be cleaned with standard saline, hydrogen peroxide or multi-purpose solutions.

Yes, you can absolutely wear makeup whilst wearing contact lenses. We generally advise that you insert your lenses before applying makeup and seek products made for contact lens wearers and those with sensitive eyes. You can read our full guide to makeup and contact lenses here.

It is almost impossible for a contact lens to get trapped behind your eye.
The surface of the eyelid hosts a thin, moist lining called the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva folds back and covers the white area of the eyeball at the back of the eyelid. The way in which the conjunctiva is positioned from the eyelids to the eyeball makes it impossible for anything to get trapped behind the eye.

You can add a prism lens to any pair of glasses you purchase online at Feel Good Contacts.
To add prism to your glasses, simply select the pair of glasses you wish to purchase and progress to ‘Choose your lenses.’ When you select the ‘Enter now’ option under ‘Your Glasses Prescription’, you can add your prism prescription to the ‘Provide more information’ section in Step 2. Alternatively, you can upload an image of your prescription or provide it at a later stage.
The cost of prism lenses vary depending on the power of the lens, the lens type and where you are buying your glasses. At FGC, lens costs can range between €0 - €150, plus the price of your frame but price ranges are variable from private optical practices to high-street opticians or online eyecare retailers.
If you aren’t sure what your prism prescription looks like, it will appear on your prescription in decimal format or sometimes as a fraction. It is measured in dioptres [D] and will always have a prism base direction specified on the prescription (example: 1.50D Base UP).
It is recommended for low light conditions and sports such as tennis and golf.
Grey tints are most beneficial in bright sunny light conditions resulting in a reduction of brightness whilst 100% of colour recognition is preserved. They are great for driving.
Photochromic lenses offer optimum vison in all light conditions, comfort and protection all day. They are recommended for people who spend a lot of time going inside and outdoors or who are sensitive to light. They are fully clear indoors and darken when exposed to UV light. Polarised lenses come in a range of colours. They are perfect for those with active lifestyles who do high-octane sports such as water sports, cycling, skiing, snowboarding. Polarised lenses work by reducing horizontal light waves and contain filter integrated which blocks this type of reflected light, giving better contrast, visibility and comes with 100% UV protection.
All spectacle orders are quality checked by fully qualified lab technicians and opticians prior to dispatch to ensure that high quality standards are met.
Every single aspect of the frame and lens manufacturing process also conforms to all government and optical approved British Standards.
By selecting the option 'frame only', you can purchase a frame with demo lenses. Alternatively, you can also purchase a frame without any prescription but with clear lenses as a fashion accessory. Please enter ‘PLANO’ as your sphere values in the prescription gird.
We kindly ask you to double check your prescription to ensure that all the information provided is correct before you proceed with your order.
When your prescription is a high minus or plus (for example, -5.00 or +4.00 Sphere and higher), we would advise you to choose a frame as small as possible (preferably in plastic) in order to reduce the thickness.
Additionally, aviator frames are not recommended for prescriptions over +/-2.00 Sphere as they have a large lens diameter.

Unfortunately, if your order has already been dispatched, we are unable to cancel the order or make any amendments to your item(s).
Successful cancellations will be refunded within 3-5 working days.
If you receive your item and decide you would like to change your order, you are more than welcome to make an exchange.
Glasses purchased online undergo the same process as when you order them from your optician. We ensure that all frames and lenses fitted to your prescription are glazed, assembled and quality checked by qualified lab technicians and opticians.
However, we do not offer more complex prescriptions such as very high prescriptions and prescriptions with prism.
All our glasses go through quality checks which are performed by qualified lab technicians and opticians to ensure the conform to the British Standards as stated by optical and government institutions.
All our frames and lenses are carefully manufactured and cut so that we can offer you a product of high quality which is the same as when purchased from any optician on the High Street with the only difference being ours at a better and more competitive price!

Distance glasses are for general use such as driving, watching TV or movies at the cinema.
However, some people do wear their distance glasses all the time for all tasks (including close work).
Near prescription glasses are prescribed only for reading and close work. If an ‘add’ is stated on your prescription, it will allow you to see only things up close clearly and your vision will be blurry when you look in the distance.
Intermediate spectacles can be worn for computer and any 'arm’s length' related tasks.
They work like reading glasses with the range of focus set further away. It is written on the prescription as an ‘intermediate’ or ‘inter’ add or as a completely separate prescription.
This applies to when the combined power of SPH and CYL is greater than +6.00 or -8.00 and the CYL is over +/-2.00 or if a prism correction is required.

UV rays are a type of radiation emitted by the sun. The effects of UV rays on the eyes can lead to cataracts and even sight loss in the long run. That’s why it’s very important to wear sunglasses with UV protection when it’s sunny out, in order to protect your eyes.
Less commonly mentioned are reflected UV rays which can be at their highest levels in water and snow. Those who regularly partake in activities in snow or on water are encouraged to wear sports sunglasses or snow googles.
Yes. All of our sunglasses come with UV protection. It is generally advised that for maximum sun protection you wear sunglasses that have a minimum of 99% UV protection.

Keeping your sunglasses in a case when you’re not wearing them is the best way to prevent any damage to them. Most sunglasses sold at FeelGoodContacts.com come with their own branded pouch or hard case. Tightening the screws on the sunglasses from time to time also ensures that the frame stays together. Cleaning the lenses should be done by using a gentle solution and soft cleaning cloth. These accessories can be found on our site and are ideal for taking care of your sunglasses.
Yes. As long as you do not remove the label tag from your sunglasses, then you are able to return or exchange your item. The complete product must be returned undamaged and with all the original packing. Please see our Returns & Refunds terms.

If you’re wanting to try out some new contact lenses, it’s recommended to speak to your optician before making any decisions. This way you’ll be able to find out which lenses are best designed to fit your visual requirements and your preferences.
Multifocal lenses are prescribed for individuals whose eyesight requires correction for both distance vision and reading.
They correct presbyopia, a visual issue particularly common as you get older, where it becomes difficult to focus on objects near to you.
These lenses have two or more distinct focal powers. These enable easy reading and viewing of nearby objects, while they also ensure clear vision at intermediate and long distances.
Toric lenses are designed to correct astigmatism, a common condition where the eye has an unusual curve to it that distorts vision.
These lenses are made to fit eyes with astigmatism by having a slightly different curve to standard contact lenses and offering additional visual correction at different meridians of the contact lens. This additional prescription power is placed specifically on the lens to line up with the meridians of your eye that require visual correction.
The axis (AX) on your toric contact lens prescription is an indication of the angle the correcting power needs to be at to correct an astigmatism. The cylinder (CYL) is the name of this additional power, exclusive to toric lenses.
No, you can buy your contact lenses from any contact lens retailer. In fact, you’ll find at FeelGoodContacts.ie, you can buy the same contact lenses online for a fraction of the price.
Silicone hydrogel contact lenses are exactly that – contact lenses made from silicone hydrogel.
This material allows for extensive wear and provides an increased level of comfort. These are some of the latest contact lenses around and are ideal for those who wear their lenses all day long and are susceptible to dry eyes.
It’s worth speaking to your optician to see if silicone hydrogel contact lenses would be suitable for you.
A wide number of contact lenses filter our harmful UVA and UVB light. However, it’s always best to check the product descriptions to find out if your desired lenses offer UV protection. Every contact lens in the Acuvue range offers this feature.
If you have different prescriptions in each eye, then yes. However, if your eyes require the same visual correction then your lenses will not need to be specific to each eye.
Your optician should have supplied you with a copy of your prescription at your last examination, and it’s one of your UK rights to request a copy.
However, if you weren’t given a copy, you can also find your prescription information on the side/end of your contact lens box.
Understanding your prescription is very important if you’re ordering contact lenses online – you will need to know your requirements to order the correct contact lenses. Your prescription should be given to you by your optician/optometrist after a contact lens fitting. Remember, you have the legal right to request a copy of your prescription. If you’re already using contact lenses with the correct prescription, you can also find the information written on the side of your contact lens box.
The vision in your eyes may vary, so your left and right eye will be listed separately.
There are a few different figures on your prescription – here’s a quick guide to understanding them:
- (BC) Base Curve – This is a measurement of the curvature of the contact lens. Always done in millimetres, this figure determines how well a contact lens will fit the eye.
- (DIA) Diameter – This is the width of a contact lens measured in millimetres.
- (PWR/SPH) Power/Sphere – This figure indicates whether you are long or short-sighted, and how weak your vision is. Long-sightedness is indicated by a plus (+) and short-sightedness by a minus (-). The higher the figure, the greater the visual correction.
- (AX) Axis – An axis indicates the direction of the curve needed to correct an astigmatism. It will be a number between 0-180 and is only found in toric lenses.
- (CYL) Cylinder – This figure is only present on toric prescriptions for astigmatism and determines the power of astigmatic correction.
We strongly recommend that you have your eyes checked at least once a year.
If your vision is blurred or you are experiencing discomfort or pain, be sure to book an appointment with an eye care practitioner as soon as possible.
A valid prescription will have been dispensed by a qualified optician and remains valid for twelve months. We reserve the right to verify the details of your prescription.
This also applies to customers re-ordering lenses. When purchasing from us, you confirm that you have been prescribed the contact lenses you have ordered by a qualified practitioner. We do not accept responsibility if you order lenses that have not been prescribed for you, and the same applies if the difference between the prescription and purchase date exceeds 12 months, as your visual requirements might have changed in this time.
Self-prescribing your contact lenses is not recommended by Feel Good Contacts. If you feel your vision requires a different power or even that you may have a slight astigmatism, it’s always best to consult with your optician to find out your required lenses.
Unfortunately, no. Glasses and contact lenses require different prescriptions, even though they measure the same features. This is because your glasses are not fitted directly onto your eye.
You can use all major credit or debit cards through Sage Pay and Worldpay to pay for your order. This includes: Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. In addition, we also accept payments through PayPal.

Of course you can order your contact lenses one eye at a time.
When you’re entering your contact lens prescription details, you’ll see separate sections for your right eye, and for your left. Simply un-tick the box next to the eye that you don’t want to order for. The selection box for this eye will become unselected and no order will be placed for that eye.
These details will need to be entered in the information fields of the product page:

Once you’ve finished shopping and selected your chosen delivery method and payment details at the billing/delivery page, proceed to the payment page. Here you’ll be shown a summary of your order.
Below the table where your purchases are listed, you’ll see a box with the words “Enter Promotional Code” inside. Simply click inside this box, enter your promotional code and click ‘Apply’.
IMPORTANT. Remember to click ‘Apply’ before confirming your order. Doing this will refresh your payment page and the discount will be applied to your overall total. If you do not click ‘Apply’ before confirming your order, your discount won’t be applied.
To cancel or amend your order, please contact us on 01 514 3614 or via email at cs@feelgoodcontacts.ie. You’ll be able to cancel or amend your order up until the point of dispatch. However, after we’ve dispatched the items no changes can be made to your order.
Successful cancellations will be refunded within 3-5 working days.
If your items have already been dispatched and a cancellation is not possible, you’ll be able to exchange your order or request a refund as soon as it arrives.

Unfortunately, some of our toric and multifocal contact lenses, the specifications are so particular that we cannot stock every prescription in-house. Therefore, we require 2-3 working days to order them in, after which they’ll be dispatched upon arrival.
Frequency Xcel Toric XR, Proclear Multifocal Toric and Proclear Toric XR are high prescription contact lenses, which take approximately 10-15 working days to order in.
As soon as we’ve dispatched your order, we’ll send you a confirmation email.
In the email, we’ll provide you with a link, which when clicked will allow you to track your order on the courier’s website.
Please check the online tracking for your order by clicking on the link in your email from us. If the tracking link says your order has been delivered, please:
- Check if a household member has accepted your delivery
- Check around your property as your order may have been left in a safe place

For Auto-Replenish, you will need to contact our customer service team to update your payment details from our end.
If you would like to delete your card details, you can remove them from your account under “My Payments” or during the final checkout page under “Payment Option”.
We do have an Auto-Replenish service available, which gives you the option to receive your lenses regularly. You will need to opt in from your account or the checkout page to sign up.

If your order was damaged in transit, please contact us. Call us on 01 514 3614 , email cs@feelgoodcontacts.ie, message us on Live Chat or WhatsApp on +44 7810 004 929. A damaged or broken outer box will not affect your contact lenses. If the individual casing that protects your lenses is not damaged or open, they will be perfectly safe to use.
Yes, you can exchange your lenses within the year of purchase if there has been a change in your prescription. Items sent for exchange must be unopened and in their original condition.
To make a return, include a note to mention the reason for your return, take the item(s) to a post office and cover postage costs. Please note, we strongly advise you to keep your returns receipt safe as we may ask for proof of postage, this is so we can help you in case anything goes wrong.
