Further Optical Advice
Is Air Optix Aqua a monthly contact lens?
Air Optix Aqua is a monthly silicone hydrogel lens. Slim and lightweight, it is barely noticeable and provides a high level of moisture and hydration, ensuring comfort all day and throughout the month during wear. As a monthly lens, it must be cleaned and stored each night after wear with contact lens solution.
How long can I wear Air Optix Aqua?
Air Optix Aqua can be worn for 30 days as daily wear as long as they are cleaned and stored every night using a multi-purpose solution such as comfi All-in-One Solution. This ensures consistently clean lenses when you come to put them in every morning. The protein-resistant material of the lens itself makes the chance of picking up any dirt or irritants over the day minimal.
Can you sleep in Air Optix Aqua?
You can sleep in Air Optix Aqua if approved by your optician for extended wear. As extended wear contact lenses, you can wear these lenses continuously, both day and night, for up to a week, without needing to remove them. Once again, however, you'll need to confirm with your optician that your eyes are suited to sleeping in your lenses.
Our optician recommends Air Optix Plus HydraGlyde as a suitable alternative. If you need any help, please contact us.
