How to spot fake Prada sunglasses

Do Prada sunglasses have serial numbers?

For newer models, inside the top part of the right lens, you’ll find the product’s serial number etched into the lens. The serial number is very small, which makes it difficult for people to imitate on fake products. The Prada logo is also usually engraved on the left lens.





You’ll also notice on the inside arm of the model, the Prada logo will be printed along with ‘Made in Italy’ to show that the sunglasses were made at the Luxottica factory in Italy, where all Prada sunglasses are made. All Prada sunglasses will also feature the ‘CE’ or ‘UKCA’ icon on the inside arm to show that they conform to applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations with the European Union and the UK.

The Prada logo

The ‘R’ in the Prada logo is a very specific shape, at the bottom it’s slightly angled with a piece missing from the inner, top part. This angled ‘R’ will look less pronounced on the model itself compared to the booklet and carry case.
