Which is better, Acuvue Oasys 1-Day or Clariti 1 Day?
These lenses are similar in their delivery, both giving comfort and hydration to the wearer. Both lenses are daily disposables, making them an easy and preferred choice for those with busy lifestyles.
Both lenses provide exceptional breathability, thanks to their silicone hydrogel material which allows 6 times the amount of oxygen through to the eye compared to standard hydrogel lenses. Acuvue uses Hydraluxe technology which mimics a naturally stable tear film to reduce friction when you blink, giving longwearing comfort to the user. This lens also has a 123 indicator printed on the side so you can easily tell if the lens is inside out, which the Clariti lens lacks. The Clariti lens uses WetLoc technology which binds water molecules to the surface of the lens, for improved hydration and comfort throughout the day. The high oxygen transmission makes the Clariti lens very breathable and comfortable to wear. However, Acuvue Oasys 1-Day outperforms Clariti on Oxygen transmission with a 50% higher DK/t than Clariti 1 Day.
The Acuvue lens is a premium option that uses the best in modern technology, it is also a newer lens than Clariti, which is why you’ll pay a little more for this lens.
Are there any other lenses in the Acuvue family?
Also available as a toric lens, Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism gives all the same benefits as the original daily lens whilst catering to those who have astigmatism.
Are there any other lenses in the Clariti family?
The Clariti 1 Day family caters to a range of visual requirements. Clariti 1 Day Toric brings the same level of comfort as the original lens whilst also being suitable for those who have astigmatism. You can also find Clariti 1 day Multifocal which offers clear and precise visual correction for presbyopia.
